Engineering and Technology is both Art and Science

The MURI Scholars and Mentors Program is a research institute within the School of Engineering and Technology, IUPUI, established to foster inter/multidisciplinary team research among students of different disciplines under the mentorship of engineering and technology faculty members or researchers. Projects involving more than one traditional science and engineering discipline are encouraged. Interested students may apply to projects that are defined by mentors of MURI. Call for MURI Mentorship Proposals: Deadline September 10, 2008

MURI at IUPUI: The IUPUI Center for Research and Learning and the School of Engineering and Technology MURI program have established a new campus-wide MURI, the MURI at IUPUI, open to all disciplines, beginning Spring Semester 2008. This program funds several inter/multidisciplinary undergraduate research projects (MURI at IUPUI projects) under the mentorship of faculty members in any discipline, in any undergraduate, graduate, or professional school or unit on the IUPUI campus. The MURI at IUPUI is an extension of the original MURI at E&T program established in the School of Engineering and Technology.

The MURI Scholars and Mentors Program invites students from different disciplines:
  • to work in teams
  • to work on multi/interdisciplinary research projects involving design, analysis, modeling, and/or testing
  • to work together at least one full semester

MURI houses different research laboratories within the School of Engineering and Technology and provides undergraduate students exciting research environments in which to conduct team work in collaboration with faculty members, research scientists, and graduate students.
